Java Developer - Contract- North West

The successful candidate will be interpreting the project-specific software needs and developing quick concept modules which lead to final design solutions. As part of a closely coupled, coherent development team you will be required to fulfil the project needs, presenting ideas and concepts for this project design to the development team in a flexible working style to support the development team.

Experience required:

The essential skills/attributes are: -
1 Strong experience, over at least 5 years, of working with a small, highly skilled design teams, working on exceptionally tight cost, time and performance targets.
2 Solid experience in the design of client server software solutions using the following technologies:

* Java
* JEE
* Spring
* Hibernate
* Javascript

Desirable skills / experiences should include:-
1 Adobe Flash, Flex
2 Exposure to Database technologies, PostgreSQL, Oracle.
3 Knowledge of unit testing using junit/TestNG and selenium.
4 Experience with the Eclipse tool suite (MyEclipse, Eclipse, SpringSource)
5 Knowledge of source code and change management systems (e.g. Jira, Mercurial)
6 Experience with SNMP, Telnet and the TCP/IP stack

It must be stressed that it is imperative that you are very strong in working with and have had a great deal of commercial experience to all of the skills deemed essential and that you have not merely had exposure to them.
