Java Developer - Contract - Equity Derivatives

JAVA DEVELOPER - CONTRACT - EQUITY DERIVATIVES

Java Developer required for high-profile, greenfield project within a Tier 1 Investment Bank.

The Java Developer will be working on a mission critical project which aims to provide robust tools to improve the speed, quality and time-to-market of this organisation's analytics package and strategic risk system.

The Java Developer will play an active part in this team's Agile setup, which places strong emphasis on the principles of continuous delivery and TDD.

Given that this is a Greenfield project, the successful Java Developer will be someone who places a high emphasis on creating highly maintainable, well-crafted, fully tested code which is capable of scaling out to a massive number of concurrent users.

The Java Developer will be an Agile Evangelist with a proven background in delivering high volume, high performance, highly scalable Java solutions, ideally in a financial organisation, although this is by no means essential.

The successful Java Developer will possess some/all of the following:

- Java/J2EE, including core Java principles like locking, hash maps, collections, data structures
- Clojure experience is extremely desirable
- Scalability
- TDD/BDD/CI experience, including tools like Cucumber, RSpec, Selenium, Jenkins
- Mocking frameworks - Junit, Easymock, Mockito
- Messaging tools - ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ, HornetQ
