Java Developer- Contract- Downtown Chicago

A world renowned Financial Firm located in downtown Chicago is seeking a motivated Java Developer to join their web-based trading team.

You would be an ideal candidate if you have the following skill sets:

-Java development skills, including experience using Servlet and JSP
- A background using an MVC framework (i.e Spring, Struts or Hibernate)
- Experience with Web-services such as SOAP and WSDL
-Demonstrated the ability to work in a Linux setting (e.g. bash)
-Basic SQL skills (a background using Oracle and MS SQL-Server is preferred)
-Posses the skills to triage and prioritize important issues
-The ability to do basic trouble-shooting

The ideal candidate will have a desire to work in the financial industry, have a strong background with Java development and a drive to work as part of a team. They should also posses a strong work ethic, a sense of urgency and an eagerness to learn and grow.
