JAVA DEVELOPER- BRUSSELS

TASKS:

- Invent, develop and maintain new Java solutions for improved business
- Train other developers

Duties and responsibilities:
The person will participate in the preparation of a software project.

Important knowledge:

- JAVA EE programming including JSF 2/JPA/Primefaces
- JBoss Application Server managing
- Oracle database usage including SQL queries, triggers
- Project set-up
- UML, maven, subversion, Eclipse

Training, Mentoring & Operating Procedures

- Perform internal process and technical training of other developers
- Develop and improve programming processes and company's development platform

Business Development

- Provide operational input into proposals and undertake customer liaison
- Identify new business opportunities for existing customers

Project Responsibility & Customer Interaction

- Attend customer meetings to discuss project requirements/progress
- Understand scope of work, budget and scope assumptions
- Participate and contribute in project/team meetings

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

- Excellent analytical and logical skills
- Programming skills: Knowledge of Java EE
- Good verbal and written English skills
- Able to adapt to dynamic environment
- Able to work both in a cross-functional, international team and independently
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize project work
- Good organisation skills
