JAVA DEVELOPER - BIGDATA, NOSQL, AGILE, TDD/BDD, DEVOPS - LONDON - CONTRACT

We're looking for a highly experienced Java Developer with a passion for technology and process. You'll have the opportunity to work with BigData technologies (Hadoop ecosystem, Map Reduce, Hive, Oozie, Falcon, Kafka, Flume), NoSQL databases (mainly Cassandra), cloud technologies, and Scala as well as Java. You'll be working in a highly Agile (XP, KanBan, Lean, TDD/BDD, Continuous Integration) environment, with a strong appreciation for DevOps, Automation and Continuous Deployment.

The successful Java Developer should be highly experienced in Java technologies and building RESTful APIs, as well as have experience or at least a keen interest in some of the above mentioned areas (functional programming, NoSQL, Cloud, DevOps) and will have extensive experience working in highly Agile environments (Scrum, KanBan, Lean, XP, Pair Programming, Continuous Integration, TDD, BDD etc..).

KEY SKILLS:

- Extensive Java Development experience
- NoSQL Databases (Cassandra ideally)
- Cloud based development/deployment (AWS)
- RESTful Web Services, API development
- Some BigData knowledge - Hadoop ecosystem, Map Reduce, Hive, Oozie, Kafka
- Exceptional TDD/BDD
- Agile - Scrum, KanBan, eXtreme Programming, Pair Programming, Lean, Continuous Integration etc
- DevOps, Continuous Deployment
