Java Developer - Backend

I am looking for a Java developer Back End for a 4 year project in Brussels.

The ideal candidate: Technical skills

- Excellent knowledge of Java language and associated frameworks: SPRING
- Good knowledge of NOSQL technologies: Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash
- Good knowledge of relational database management systems
- Good knowledge of BPM concepts and BPMN, Bonita BPM is a plus
- Excellent knowledge of SOA concepts, WS* implementations, ebXML/ebMS, REST
- SPA web technologies and AngularJS is a plus
- Relevant knowledge of general web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
- Good knowledge of XML and related technologies
- Ability to proactively analyse and learn new software concepts and technologies
- Significant experience in designing and implementing communication strategies between application layers
- Good knowledge of communication and enterprise integration patterns and proven experience of using them in very complex scenarios
- Very strong OOP and design patterns knowledge and working experience
- Excellent ability to quickly adapt to an existing project, following the established guidelines and rules
- Relevant experience in designing and implementing of highly customizable electronic forms and templates
- Experience in maintaining and adapting of a large-scale system to the constantly-changing requirements and performance challenges of a production-phase application
- Excellent ability to design, implement and maintain the user interface architecture and inter-module communication of a large application

Language skills

- Excellent oral and written skills in English. The role involves drafting papers for technical and non-technical audience
- French language is a plus
- Knowledge of other EU languages is an asset

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

- Develop and configure the components according to the design and specification documents in the context of the project
- Identify, propose and implement technical solutions for the design and development of components (presentation, Back End, integration etc.)
- Internal testing for the implemented features and solved bugs
- Code review and refactoring
- Identify, propose and implement technical solutions for the design and development of models and support for the modelling development process(business process and Datamodelling)
- Should document the solution description in various stages: Specification and detail design, technology or design decisions, release notes, installation and configuration documentation
- Maintain the requirements traceability Matrix which reflects the coverage of requirements by the solution, progress reports, etc.
- Attendance in technical working groups and progress meetings
- Attendance in workshops and meetings with external stakeholders
- Install and configure the necessary environments for the development and testing
- Should support planning activities related to the skills and efforts needed to implement the proposed solution
- Should provide assistance for the test team in building the test plan (test cases, test data).
- Should prepare notes and presentations for external stakeholders referring to system description, system architecture, with a constant focus of reflecting how the system proposal is fulfilling the requirements.
