Java Developer at Prestigious Risk and Compliance Client

Java Developer working on projects for our prestigious Risk and Compliance company in an agile environment - XSLT/Spring/Hibernate/Java 7+. The rate is negotiable for the right candidate.

Due to expansion, we are seeking skilled and highly motivated software engineers with experience of complex systems development, to join an established team on an exciting project for one of the world's largest providers of regulatory information to major businesses.

Our team is well established and has worked on the project from the start. The project utilises a fairly standard Java stack, using Java 8 and RESTful web services, with a HTML 5 user interface using the Dojo toolkit (we do not expect candidates to possess Dojo skills).

The main initial focus will be on the completion of XSLT transformations, transforming structured XML content from the customer's content repositories, into HTML documents to be displayed in the user portal. Therefore some exposure to XSLT is necessary, but we have a team in place with working examples who can provide mentoring for intelligent candidates.

Location can be flexible for the right individuals. Some of our contractors work chiefly from home. The ability to travel to our Lichfield office is advantageous but not essential. There will be a requirement for perhaps a couple of days travel to the customer site in London per month.

Much of the team is distributed - as a result, the candidate will need to be proficient in the use of remote communication tools such as Skype, and be proactive in their communications with the rest of the distributed team.

The initial contract length will be 3 months, but with a strong chance of extension for the right individuals.

These are mid to senior level positions and are not suitable for junior candidates.
