Java Developer

For our banking client in Zürich, we are looking for a

JAVA DEVELOPER

Start: ASAP (01.08.2017 at latest)

Duration: initial contract of 12 months

Location: Zurich

In this project, you will be working on an application which has been mainly built by a supplier of a Swiss Bank. One of the challenges here will be to work together with the supplier to help to insource the application knowledge. You will be responsible for application development within the domain Trade Order Management and being the onshore tech lead of a scrum team located in Warsaw. It is an Agile environment and some development on functional changes, technical enhancements and unit tests needs to be done. You will also be supporting the business analysts during requirements analysis and support the test teams during QA and UAT process where possible.

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in Java development:
- SE6, Java EE, Spring, SQL, UNIX
- Solid experience with all phases of software development life cycle
- Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently with management and stakeholders
- Fluency in English (spoken & written) is required.
- Highly motivated and teamwork-oriented approach.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible, proactive and self-motivated way of working.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

- C# development experience is a big plus but not necessary
- Experienced in Funds area
- University education in Computer Science or similar
- Knowledge of German is a plus
- Knowledge of Swiss banks and their IT environment is an advantage.
- Experience within a Scrum model would be beneficial.
