Java Developer

FOR OUR CLIENT IN THE FINANCIAL SECTOR, WE ARE LOOKING FOR A JAVA DEVELOPER (APPLICATION CONSULTANT/PRODUCTION SUPPORT ANALYST)

For our client in the financial sector, we are looking for a Java Developer who feels responsible for the quality and stability of the production platforms and applications he/she develops and supports? Are you customer focused and willing to go above and beyond to secure availability of key- and core applications for your business?

SOME OF THE TASKS OF WHICH YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE:

- Ensure that analysis is compliant with IT standards and requirements
- Ensure Fixes are aligned to application requirements and designs
- Coordinate incident resolution activities over multiple delivery teams
- Perform testing activities, validating quality and alignment to requirements
- Identify opportunities for software improvement
- Take preventive or corrective actions when applicable
- Ensure delivery of deliverables is on time, on budget, and on quality
- Ensure that all deliverables comply with the boundaries set by enterprise architecture, security and compliance
- Support and when necessary execute Unit test, System Test and System Integration testing activities
- Ensure the development of fixes and introduction of changes to existing systems are in line with functional requirements
- Ensure the execution of changes, in line with technical necessity
- Ensure the execution of the technical deployment activities is in line with defined process.

IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS JOB, YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING EXPECTATIONS

- Bachelors Degree in IT or equivalent
- 5 years relevant experience in a professional working environment
- 2 years relevant experience in a DevOps environment
- Mid - Level - 2+ years Development experience in Java
- 2+ years experience developing and supporting (complex) business applications
- Knowledge of ICT processes like ITIL, ASL, BiSL
- Must have both functional and technical knowledge and capabilities
- Good customer Service skills
- Great verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch as English
- Knowledge of and experience with Jboss and WebSphere is an asset.
