JAVA DEVELOPER

One of my leading financial services clients in Amsterdam is urgently seeking a JAVA DEVELOPER for a long term contract paying excellent rates.If you like it, you will never have to leave.

THE JAVA DEVELOPER WILL IDEALLY HAVE AT LEAST 65% OF THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

- Master of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
- 3+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in creating high scalability mission-critical applications
- You are able to develop and tune efficient and maintainable code with the right balance between solving the problem at hand and not over-engineering your solution.
- Experience with Continuous delivery.
- Good knowledge OS fundamentals.
- You have sound knowledge of relational databases (Oracle)
- Excellent knowledge of Java EE7
- Experience in building RESTful APIs
- Jersey 2, JAX-RS framework
- Angular JS
- Knowledge of IBM OpenPages, Cognos BI, TeamMate and SAS is a preference

THE JAVA DEVELOPER WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:

- In this role as a Java Developer you will work together with other Java programmers on a new in-house developed solution based on a Restful API.
- We operate according to a Scrum Agile delivery process and strongly believe in the DevOps approach to delivering IT solutions.
- The focus is on high-quality mission-critical software delivered in time using iterative development with regular milestone demos to the business, so that at the end there are no surprises about what we build.
