JAVA DEVELOPER

One of my leading financial services clients in Amsterdam is urgently seeking JAVA DEVELOPERS for long term contracts paying excellent rates. If you like it, you will never have to leave.

JAVA DEVELOPER WILL IDEALLY HAVE AT LEAST 65% OF THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

- Master of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
- Software engineering experience, preferably in creating high scalability mission-critical applications
- You are able to develop and tune efficient and maintainable code with the right balance between solving the problem at hand and not over-engineering your solution.
- Experience with Continuous delivery.
- Good knowledge OS fundamentals.
- You have sound knowledge of relational databases (Oracle)
- Excellent knowledge of Java EE7
- Experience in building RESTful API's
- Jersey 2, JAX-RS framework
- Angular JS
- Knowledge of IBM OpenPages, Cognos BI, TeamMate and SAS is a preference

THE JAVA DEVELOPER WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:

- You will work in the dynamic and challenging environment.
- In this role as a DEV engineer you will work together with other Java programmers on a new in-house developed solution based on a RESTful API.
- We operate according to a Scrum Agile delivery process and strongly believe in the DevOps approach to delivering IT solutions.
- The focus is on high-quality mission-critical software delivered in time using iterative development with regular milestone demos to the business, so that at the end there are no surprises about what we build.
