Java Developer

Next Ventures is currently looking for a Java Developer to join a long-term project in the banking sector in Madrid.

Job Description:

- Working within the Private Banking Market Area UK (MA UK) Front Office Development Team based out of the Madrid office.
- The MA UK IT team specializes in supporting and developing the applications that support the Private Banking business in London, Gibraltar and Guernsey.
- Working on the Assentis Client Reporting system.
- Developing Assentis Document Templates and custom configuring the Assentis environment.
- Developing templates and software according to given technical specifications.
- Implementing fixes and enhancements.
- Being involved in the full life cycle of a project.

The developer will have the following:

- Education Qualification - Bachelor's or Master's degree majoring in Computer Science.
- 4+ years' experience as a technical developer, including 2 years of extensive application development and support experience.
- Development skills: Java, Spring, Spring Tool Suite (Eclipse)
- Experience of working with source control tools (Subversion, Source Safe, etc)
- Desirable: Oracle, UNIX Scripting.
- Experience of Agile methodologies and Test Driven Development highly desirable
- Delivery focused and has a strong aptitude for solving problems as part of a team.
- Fluent command of the English language
- An interest in working within a Banking environment.
