Java Developer

The Custom Applications team maintains several applications, of which several are written in java.

The Custom Applications developer is in direct contact with the functional analyst to implement the required functionality in code. This will be the case for (large) projects and/or regular improvements or bugfixes.
He/she will, based on these needs, translate this to deliver feasible, efficient and workable solutions for the applications within the area of the team.

Responsibilities

• Write, alone or together with a dedicated analyst, functional and technical design.
• Maintain a high development quality.
• Report to the application manager for timely delivering of functionality.
• Support test team / business during their tests.
• Setup / maintain source code system / unit tests / build and deploy procedures for the project and the application.
• Follow-up on the correct implementation of the agreed way of working within the team (code guidelines, tools, frameworks….).

Education / experience level

• University education (or equivalent through experience)
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
• Experience in an agile / scrum development way of working
• Knowledge of the energy market and its processes is an asset.

• Knowledge of ALM processes is a must. Professional experience with Bamboo / git / jira is needed. Basic knowledge of sonar / selenium.

• Knowledge of performance tuning / optimization
