Java Developer

Synergy Consulting Group is looking for a Java Developer for a seven + month contract with a Fortune 500 company in Cleveland, OH.

You will be responsible for design, development, and unit testing of a J2EE web application utilized internally.

Your salary in this position will be $45 - $50 an hour depending on skill set and experience.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ability to own a task by solving problems and following through until completion
- Effectively interact with management, employees, contractors and off-shore developers
- Ability to learn, grasp and maintain a complex technical environment
- Create and test complex build plans
- Incorporate new technology in existing environment
- Ability to define technical tasks and provide estimates and status
- Experience working in multi-tiered environments Testing, QA, automated testing tool background a plus
- Experience with Harvest or other automated deployment tools is a plus
- Financial Services Industry background is a plus

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an IT-related field
- 8+ years related experience IT experience in design, development, and unit testing of Java, J2EE, and other related technologies
- 8+ Java/J2EE 5/6/7 experience including JSP, Servlet, JDBC, JNDI, SOA, Web Service/XML technologies, Spring, Hibernate
- 8+ Web development including HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- 2+ Oracle 9i/10g/11g with strong SQL experience
- Enablement technologies including XML, WSDL, UDDI, SOAP, JMS, HTTP and SSL
