Java Developer

One of our clients, a multinational company in the financial services industry currently requires a Java developer with min 3 years experience

Scope of Work:

Working in a Scrum team as web/application developer to implement enhancement requests and maintance work on variety of existing applications.

The web/application developer will participate in the following tasks:

- develop Server Side software components using Java technology to implement business logic exposed as web services, database access logic and security logic; technology used includes JSE 1.6, JAX-WS, JAX-RS, iBatis, OracleRDBMS;
- develop client side software components using Java/Javascript/HTML/CSS technology; technology used may include JSF2.1and JQuery.
- use a test driven approach, develop unit testing and user interface test automation; technology used may include JUnit, EasyMock, Selenium, Robot Framework
- analyse requirements and help the Scrum master translating them into tasks and backlog user stories;
- participate where applicable to design tasks to enable implementation of complex features as documented in requirements specification;
- document technical implementation according to standards set-up by the team lead;
- challenge the solutions in a constructive manner and provideexpertise in order to meet objectives of quality, to improve efficiency of development team and to deliver value to the business;

Skills:

Minimum 3 years experience with:

- JSF 2.1 xhtml
- HTML5/CSS/JavaScript
- JavaScript frameworks
- Web services (SOAP/REST), client and server sides
- Relational Databases (Oracle/SQL/PL/SQL) and related Java APIs and frameworks

Minimum 1 year experience with:

- Continuous integration tools (Jenkins, VCS, Shell Scripting...)
