Java Developer

Java Developer- Cork- Ireland- Contract

I am seeking a Java developer for a contract position in Cork, Ireland. You will have extensive exposure within a commercial environment with Front End JavaEE technologies, for example: Java, JPA, Servlets, JSF or JSP.

It is a contract role, lasting 6 months in the first instance, but may be extended.

The daily rate is 300- 330 Euros

The Role:
You will be developing and maintaining multi tier applications in Java as well as developing Front End, service and data layer. You need to understand build systems (SVN, MVN) and develop unit tests. You will participate in peer review of detailed designs, code and unit tests. You will also work on bug fixing and enhancement implementations.

Essential Technical Skills:
*You will have excellent knowledge of JavaEE and N-Tier application development and design.
*Web development (CSS, HTML, JavaScript) exposure.
*Spring Framework
*Web Service Development
*Experience of working to meet deadlines
*Knowledge of design patterns
*Good standard of software engineering literacy

It would also be advantageous to have exposure to aspect oriented development, knowledge of Rules Engines, JavaSpaces or GWT.
