JAVA Developer

JAVA DEVELOPER - DUBLIN - CONTRACT

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Take responsible for developing new components
- Participate in the functional and design specifications
- Implement, test, and bug-fix functionality
- Produce reasonable estimates for tasks and meeting project schedules
- Participate in the design of our new software platform
- Suggest enhancements to existing components that contributes to product goals
- Deploy and provide support to the latest releases of software

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Minimum of 3-4 YEARS of relevant industry experience
- Third level degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent
- Experience with an OBJECT-ORIENTED LANGUAGE in a commercial environment
- Experience working in a LINUX ENVIRONMENT
- Experience with software development processes
- Experience with distributed version control systems (Mercurial/Git) - desirable
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

TECHNOLOGIES:

- Highly Proficient in JAVA
- Track record of designing complex solutions
- Knowledge of MySQL or Oracle

DESIRABLE BUT NOT REQUIRED:

- Knowledge of Ruby or Python
- Web Development including JSPs and Tomcat
- Database development - SQL, JDBC
- Experience manipulating large volumes of data
- Test Automation
