JOB TITLE: Software Engineer

LOCATION: Madison, WI

DURATION: Over 2 Years

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- This position would be required to perform daily maintenance, server administration, troubleshooting, and support of these applications.
- The contractor may also be asked to mentor existing state staff in the support of these applications. Work may include conversion of the applications from Sybase EA-Server to Apache-Tomcat, or potentially from Java to a new platform, as determined by a strategic analysis effort that will be performed on these applications in the near future.
- Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications, including software infrastructure and development tools.
- Supports and/or installs software applications, infrastructure and development tools.
- Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
- Software Engineer capabilities with 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
