Java Developer

Overview Java Developer Role- Java Developer required to join a leading time-to- value provider of process management software. Transitioning away from their existing LAMP (Perl) architecture, to one based on JAVA, the development team is crucial, in both ensuring a smooth transition and supporting and modifying the existing platform while this is being done. The successful Java Developer will be a key contributor in the design and development of their software product and work as part of a small enthusiastic team within a fast paced environment. Job Role This position will offer a fantastic opportunity to work with the latest technologies, as well as being responsible for the development of SOA system to support new RIA interfaces and its features. It is essential that you have knowledge of traditional SOAP/XML and modern REST/JSON web services. The system is heavily reliant on the databases so strong knowledge of SQL/JPA/Hibernate is required, in order to write vendor agnostic code. An element of 3rd line support for both new and existing systems will be required. Essential Skills and Experience - SOA, EJB3, EJB3.1, REST, SOAP, Java, EE6 stack incl Hibernate, JPA, JTA, JAX-WS.
