For one of our larger international clients I am looking for an experienced Java Developer. Location:London Start date: asap Duration: 5 - 6 months Hours per week: 40 Rate : 70-75 euros an hour The Treasury IT landscape comprises around 30 disperse IT applications in numerous technologies including Java, .Net, VB6, C#, VBA, Access GUI's, SQL Server stored procedures, VB Scripts, and Windows batch scripts. The task will require a technical Java Web Developer resource that is multi-software-language aware, to work alongside the existing technical analysts, to participate in development, but also to document the 'to-be' components to facilitate shared knowledge required for effective operational support and maintenance of these components. Key Skills: * Owing to the range of technologies within the landscape, a broad knowledge of IT infrastructure, technologies and languages is preferred to include as many of the following as possible: * [HIGH] Java Web and Application Development * [HIGH] Struts 1.x, JSP, Ant, Eclipse, Core Java, HTML, J-Unit * [HIGH] JBoss AS/EAP later versions (AS-7/EAP 6.x) installation/admin/hosting * [HIGH] Automated Build (Hudson etc.) configurations and setup (Java and/or .net) * [HIGH] Technical Documentation skills * [MED] .NET - development, build and support of VB, C#, .NET 1.X-4.X frameworks * [MED] VB6, VBA, VB Script, MS Excel Macros development and maintenance * [MED] IIS (6 and 7), ASP.NET knowledge * [MED] SQL/RDBMS knowledge - SQL Server and associated tools * Qualified to degree standard in a logical or numerate based discipline or able to demonstrate reasonable experience in similar role * Strong technical documentation skills. * Minimum 2 years experience in developing enterprise scale Java Web Applications * Proven experience in problem solving and analyses, working with multiple stakeholders from all disciplines (Business, Architecture, Management, Technical).
