JAVA Developer

Huxley Associates is currently working closely with our client, a leading Edinburgh based financial services software provider, to assist them in the recruitment of additional JAVA resource to work on the latest iterations of their investment management product.

They are looking for candidates with strong JAVA development skills (at both a Developer and Senior Developer level) and the ability to work closely with other functions (Analysts/Testing etc) to make sure that a fit-for-purpose product is delivered to their customers.

To be successful in this role, you need to be able to offer strong JAVA development skills with strong JAVA SE and experience of working with a number of supporting library sets. You also need some awareness of large-scale distributed JAVA based architectures with some WebSphere or Weblogic.
Further knowledge of Spring and Hibernate, XML/XSLT and SQL Databases desirable.
