JOB DESCRIPTION
* Supports the entire software development life cycle including maintenance.
* Responsible for code asset management for applications, and support and promotes asset reuse.
* Performs unit/integrated completed system testing according to detailed functional specification.
* Supports the implementation of systems into production.
* Assists team members performing system maintenance, research, code reviews, and support tasks.
* Utilizes accepted methodologies and tools in a disciplined manner.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL ALSO POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCES:
* Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
* Adaptable and able to pick up new design techniques.
* Able to support production database, application, and web Servers.
* Experience in an E-commerce/Internet environment
* Demonstrated project success with 6+ years of experience.
* Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
* Must be a team player and willing to teach and to learn.
* Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
EDUCATION AND/OR SKILLS:
* 6+ years of Java development experience
* Thorough understanding of OOP
* Experience with Java, JSP, Servlet, and JDBC
* HTML, CSS, Crystal Reports and JavaScript
* Solid Knowledge of SQL development, performance tuning, and admin.
* Demonstrated the ability to design, plan and execute.
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or related experience.
* Excellent written and oral communications skills.
* Ability to work additional hours as needed.
KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
* Successful delivery of assigned tasks and projects.
* Positive contributions to the organization beyond the scope of normal responsibilities.
