THE ROLE

- Design and code applications that have a web interface, include business functionality, and access a database.
- Work with your development lead, other developers, product managers, QA, and operation teams to develop solutions that meet product requirements and deliver good performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Estimate your development efforts, plan implementations, and rollout system changes.
- Meet realistic implementation schedules and adhere to development goals and principles.
- Share release management duties during feature rollouts and share on-call responsibilities.
- Develop industry and product technical expertise.

YOUR BACKGROUND:

- BS/BA in CS or related field.
- 4+ years experience in requirements analysis, design, coding and unit testing of scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications for the Internet.
- Must have experience in developing customer-facing web applications.
- Must have strong Java skills.
- Must have experience in OOD methodology and web application development.
- Must have working knowledge of HTTP, HTML, and SQL.
- Must have good problem solving skills.
- Prefer knowledge of CSS, Javascript, and JSP.
- Prefer experience with Eclipse, Apache, Tomcat, and MySQL.
- Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus in a high velocity, high quality environment.
