Java Developer

Context of the mission:

In the context of a major program, Porteus Europe is actively seeking a developer to support and maintain some important retail local applications (ECA, CCB Toolbar) in a Client Server environment (fat-client).

This developer will have to demonstrate a specific profile described below:

Duration of Mission:
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 30/06/2013

2. Language requirement: Fluent in English and a good working knowledge in either French OR Dutch.
3. Location: Brussels, Belgium (Manhattan center)
4. Required knowledge and experience: Required level and content of education Bachelor degree.

Mandatory:
Good experience in Java/SWT development, Be able to work individually, and collaborate with different groups in the organization (analysts, testers). Provide information and part of the solution (communication skills).

Technical experience required Mandatory:
J2EE, SWT, XML, Javascripts, ANT scripts, Eclipse/RAD, Harvest, Http request, Paros Proxy,

5. Objective of the job:

For the Retail customers we have some applications that are now running in production.

For those application, the candidate will have to assume the maintenance, develop the small request, and participate to larger projects development (if there are).

Unit testing of the developed code, integration with the others layers/applications.
Support closely the User Acceptance period (defect tracking & solving)
Follow up of the start in production.
Progress reporting in a structured way
Be able to work individually
