Java Developer/10 Months/the Hague, Netherlands

JAVA DEVELOPER/10 MONTHS/THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS

For one of my clients I'm urgently looking for a Java Developer for a 10 Months contract to be based in the Hague, Netherlands.

In this role as a Java Developer you will be responsible for:

- Taking the lead in the analysis, design and actual development (programming) of the solution, including prototyping, based on the existing solution requirements specifications and high level technical architecture, using amongst others JEE, IBM WebSphere Application Server and Microsoft SQL Server;
- Implementing unit tests for the developed components;
- Contributing to the improvement of the development and build process.

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Minimum 8 years experience and proficiency in software development;
- Minimum 5 years experience with Java technologies (both POJO and JEE based);
- Minimum 5 years experience with application frameworks (eg Spring Framework);
- Minimum 5 years experience with JEE application Servers;
- Minimum 5 years experience with Transact SQL.

NICE TO HAVE

- 3 years of experience with JMS message providers (eg ActiveMQ, WebSphere MQ)
- 3 years of experience with WebSphere Application Server.
- Knowledge of and experience in Object Oriented programming;
- Knowledge of UML as a means for capturing and transferring software design information;
- Knowledge of test-driven based development;
- Knowledge of design and versioning best practices for web services and how to implement them in a "contract first" manner;
- Knowledge of XML, XML schema and WSDL design;
- Knowledge of eclipse based IDEs;
- Knowledge of Maven as a build tool;
- Knowledge of SOA architecture and design;
- Knowledge of iterative development methodology (eg Scrum, MSF ).
