JAVA/BIG DATA DEVELOPER - PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS

High calibre Java Developer required for market-leading technology company in Central London.

The Java Developer will be working on a highly scalable, low latency predictive analytics platform, used by a whole host of organisations from financial superpowers to cutting edge tech start-ups with the objective of using machine learning tactics to gain insight from structured and unstructured big data.

The Java Developer will form part of a highly Agile team of Java Developers and DevOps technicians who place the production of high quality, thoroughly tested clean code at the heart of their technical values. The successful Java Developer will be a first-rate problem solver and open source evangelist who takes a collaborative approach to software development

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- Core Java
- Hadoop/Hadoop ecosystem
- High volume, low latency experience
- Experience of working on Real Time or near-Real Time applications
- Algorithms

NICE-TO-HAVES:

- Machine learning experience
- J2EE/Spring development experience
- Familiarity with DevOps mentality
- Automated testing frameworks - Selenium, Cucumber JVM, Jasmine
- JS MVC frameworks - node.js, angular.js, backbone.js
