Java Automation Engineer - Daily Rate

JAVA AUTOMATION ENGINEER - DUBLIN CITY CENTRE - 6 MONTHS+ (€400+ PER DAY)

RESPONSIBILIES:

- Develop and implement automation solutions to stated business and technical goals

o Create and maintain robust, scalable, test automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver in a Java environment

o Create and maintain appropriate design artifacts and documentation so as to enable broad team participation

o Communicate complex technical designs and solutions in clear, concise and easily readable format by both technical and non-technical personnel.

o Help in effectively decomposing product feature implementation into associated tasks for planning & tracking purposes as part of a delivery team

- Assist in assessing project risks associated with test automation activities
- Communicate effectively in both verbal (day-to-day discussions, team meetings) and written forms (requirements and design specifications) with local and remote team members
- Mentor and guide team members in planning and implementing automated tests
- Perform Code reviews of automated tests from other Engineers
- Be flexible with regard to project assignments
- Perform additional job-related duties as requested

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Thorough understanding of Test automation design and development, Selenium WebDriver experience preferred
- Experience of at least 1 Object Oriented programming, Java is preferred
- Must have strong code development, code testing, debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Ideally have experience with JUnit/TestNG, FitNesse and Integration testing
- Understanding of RDBMS/general database concepts (MySQL and Oracle preferred) exp with SQL programming
- Experience of the Spring and Hibernate frameworks would be beneficial
- Experience with Continuous Integration (Jenkins)
- Experience with version control tools (GIT and/or SVN) and build managers (Maven, Ant)
- Experience with Agile development with Scrum or Kanban advantage
