Java Architect (Contract or perm)

Ordina is searching a Java Architect with background in information system development in domains such as document, knowledge and crisis management.

DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS

Analysis of the requirements and design of technical solutions
Prototyping
Writing/maintenance of applications that reflect the specifications
Development of proofs of concepts and test applications
Definition and integration of technological components
Analysis and design of integration between different information systems
Production of technical documentation
Assistance with deployment and configuration of the systems

REQUIRED SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

The technologies involved will be Java, J2EE, JSP, XML/XSL/XSLT, UML, JDBC, SQL and RDBMS - excellent know-how is a must.
Very good knowledge of JavaScript, Ajax, JSF, EJB, JPA, JMS, Web Services, JUnit and Design Patterns is required
Knowledge of Documentum, jQuery, ExtJS, Jasper Reports, Atlassian Jira, Apache Ant, Log4J, Oracle DB (PL/SQL), Oracle Weblogic, Eclipse IDE, Enterprise Architect.
Applying an appropriate quality assurance: unit testing, functional testing, integration testing, performance testing and code coverage checking.
Proactive attitude, excellent problem-solving skills and business orientation would be an advantage.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS
The consulting work will take place at the Commission premises in Brussels.
The candidate needs to have a good command in English. Knowledge in French would be an advantage.
