Java Applications Developer

The successful candidate will be working in a fast moving and growing software development team, capable of demonstrating an enthusiastic approach to learning new technologies and skills.

We are looking for candidates coming from a strong technical Java/J2EE programming background. This position will be responsible for developing, supporting robust, highly scalable and maintainable software solutions and providing maintenance and support. Interacting with internal and external customers of the organization, to define requirements and develop solutions.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Analyse business needs and deliver multi-tier solutions using J2EE, Tibco and related technologies;
- Provide support in terms of research and problem solving;
- Liaises with external clients in respect of requirements gathering and analysis;

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

- A MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS JAVA AND J2EE APPLICATION EXPERIENCE
- Hands on experience with Struts, ORM (Object Relational Mapping) Tools, Hibernate, Spring Framework
- Hands on experience with AJAX, JSP, MVC (Model-View-Control). JSP Tag libraries
- Worked with at least one IDE eg RSA

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

- IBM Rational Software Architect IDE
- Web-Service implementations
- JUnit and CSS
- Source control software exposure such as CA Harvest/SCM
- DB2 Database experience
