Projektbeschreibung

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide Application Support for Java/UNIX based Payments system used within the Retail area.
- Independently proficient over Java programming language, required Java/UNIX, Spring, JSF application languages knowledge in particular.
- L2 and L3 application support
- Work closely with the offshore counter-part to share and prioritise work load for self and offshore team members within cluster, consistent with any appropriate direction from customer.
- Manage and resolve incident tickets within the specified SLAs
- Ability to manage own workload, while working as part of an overall team
- As part of small tactical changes, undertake analysis, code development & testing including test approach, implementation approach planning & production deployment.
- Engage with customer SME and any other stakeholders (3rd parties) as needed.
- Work towards continuous improvement and perform root cause analysis on an ongoing basis.
- Prepare and submit status reports
- Will be required to provide on-call support on rota for end of day batch runs.
- Understanding and knowledge of Java software version control, configuration and deployment/release standards and tools
- Prepares and maintains appropriate documentation
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of the methods, productivity and quality of work produced.
- Excellent technology focus on tools/platforms used in the UNIX environment.
- The ability to work on own initiative, to learn quickly, to problem solve technical issues in a creative yet logical manner, to have a proactive approach to work
- Excellent Customer Service manner (ability to engage directly with the business and third parties as required)

Additional Information:

- Oracle DB knowledge
- Experience in payments area.
- Working with offshore teams
- Good inter-personal and communication skills
- ITIL service chain and incident, problem, change and release process
