Java Application Engineer

IT APPLICATION ENGINEER - 12 MONTHS BRUSSELS (BELGIUM) FREELANCE.

For a well-known client of mine within the insurance sector I am seeking a Application Engineer for a long term mission.

ROLE:

Your role will be to development their archiving solution according to new architectural vision. As an engineer you will be involved as functional analyst, technical designer and system engineer as well as a developer.

You will be involved with organizing meetings, working with IT architects and application teams. You will prepare technical user manual and configuration documents. Perform deployments and bug fixes into development.

REQUIRED

- 5+ years' experience within software development in open system environments
- Experience with Archiving and document management systems
- Experience with Java 7/8
- Knowledge of Javascript, HTML
- J2EE
- Good understanding of Git and Maven.

Bonus:

- Knowledge of WebSphere 8.5, JMS, ExtJS, REST & SOAP.

Fluent in Dutch and understanding of French or vice versa as well and fluent in English.

- RATE: €550 per day
