ROLE: IT Systems application developer

NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 2

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The application developer transforms business and software requirements into working and tested software code. Also the individual provides test-support, executes code-reviews, fixes bugs, develops prototypes and ensures up to date documentation.

BUSINESS AREAS:

The business areas are internal (client) functions like finance, billing, global access management and the Shell account. The application developer is expected to be customer oriented and aims to have an understanding of the business of our customers and a feel for their day to day challenges.

TECHNOLOGY:

The application developer is skilled in JEEx with a focus on JSF, JPA, CDI, JAX-WS).

Other helpful skills are: GIT, SOAP, JBoss, SQL, Oracle, Linux.

The perfect candidate is also skilled in AngularJS, JAX-RS, REST, JSON

SKILLS:

The application developer is an experienced application software engineer and problem solver. He/she work test-driven and Agile, is innovative and is used to work in DevOps teams. As the developer will be contributing to one or more international project teams he/she appreciates the value of teams and contributes to a good team-spirit. This requires good collaboration and communication skills, verbally and written, preferably both in Dutch and English of which the latter is essential. It is key to be quality oriented, organized, accurate and focused on delivering consistently the needed quality.

- Constructs detailed designs
- Write codes according design and standards
- Executes code-reviews
- Executes (end-to-end) testing
- Supports release-deployments
- Keeps our documentation up to date
- Participates in project - and other meetings
- Provides on request support to users, operations and production

- Requirements engineering
- Provides sizings
- Delivers designs
- Executes and advices on security assessments
- Provides guidance to co-workers
- Helps to ensure compliancy re. security, standards and corporate processes
