JOB TITLE - Java/Android Developer Server Side/Java/Android/Consultant
LOCATION - Lund/Sweden
Darwin's client is currently seeking a talented Java/Android developer, with extensive knowledge of Web Server Side development, to join their team for a 1 year contract with possible extension.
You will be part of a highly productive and skilled team delivering key components to our clients phones, primarily SW Update Client, Firmware Update and Customization Framework. As they are working cross functional throughout the project life cycle you should also be prepared to work in other areas within Software development ranging from Android app development to platform integration.
Lately the communication and integration with web services has been more and more important, whereas it is desirable to have experience from web server development in order to be part of and create end-to-end services. To some extent they are also touching on web UI and applications utilizing HTML5 and JavaScript.
REQUIREMENTS:
- MS in computer science or equivalent experience
- Excellent skills in Java programming
- Proven strong experience in developing successful Android native apps using Java
- Excellent skills in web server development
- Knowledge and experience in SW architecture and development processes/models as well as verification methods
- Strong maintain skills to review, design and implement software solutions within Android and Linux
- High quality mindset with an understanding about how to deliver well tested software, ie test driven development
- Experience from using agile software development methods
- Ability to understand technical trade-offs and their commercial implications
- Excellent verbal and written English as the corporate language is English
- A Self-driven and innovative mindset
ADDITIONAL:
- Excellent skills in HTML5/JavaScript programming
- Excellent skills in C/C++ programming
- Knowledge about software update techniques
- Experience with SOMC build environment and tools
- Understanding of the mobile industry including key commercial and technical drivers from different domains
