My client, a New York City-based financial services firm and an established provider of innovative trading solutions to buy-side and sell-side clients, is in search of a core java expert to join its IT trading systems team. As part of the development team, you will be taking an active part in deciding designs and patterns, learning existing components, troubleshooting, and coding. To serve the firm's considerable growth, this team is re-architecting and re-designing the execution and order management platform to use the most current and cutting-edge technologies that will help us scale and handle more than 100K transactions per seconds in real-time. The candidate will play a vital role in designing, developing & delivering the trading system within a specified time-budget. The candidate should have the following skills and experience: * 5-7+ years core Java development * Extensive experience with: - Java concurrency patterns and practices - FX and/or Equities - Low latency/hi-frequency messaging/middleware handling - OMS/EMS or any real-time transaction management system * Strong understanding of Java collections framework, garbage collection, object life cycles etc * Familiarity with Linux This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team of elite technologists in a growing financial firm working on exciting technologies.
