J2EE WEB APPLICATION DEVELOPER - SPRING - CSSLP - BRUSSELS
For one of our projects at the European Commission in Brussels, we are urgently looking for aJ2EE Web Application Developer (Spring/CSSLP/UML/Oracle/RUP).
ROLE:
To evolve maintain and provide advisory services for a shared application component for role based authorisation management in the European Commission.
Main TASKS:
- Practical validation and implementation of the solutions recommended by the application Software Architect
- Design, development, tests, documentation, release control, maintenance and technical support of the application infrastructure software components and services matching the specifications
- Proof of concept, prototyping of infrastructure solutions
- Assistance and support to the application software architect and information system developers.
- Provision of technical studies, technical expertise, technical evaluations in relation with information systems infrastructure.
- Production of the application technical documentation
- Assistance with configuration of the system for production deployment and in training administrators and users
- Participation in meetings within the Commission
SPECIFIC EXPERTISE:
- CYBER SECURITY CERTIFICATION required: CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional) or equivalent
For this role you need to have 9 years of EXPERIENCE in:
- Experience in enterprise web application development
- Experience in JEE/J2EE environment
- Knowledge of the UML modelling language
- Knowledge of Spring framework
- Up to date know-how in Internet web applications development, in particular of web application security
WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS:
- The work will be carried on the Commission's premises in Brussels. Some missions in
- Luxembourg and Ispra will be possible.
- The methodology used for development is based on RUP
- The tool used for database design is Oracle Designer
- The technical environment is based on an Oracle 10 RDMS and Weblogic 10 (or higher)
LANGUAGES:
Fluent in English and French is an asset

Capability of integration in an international/multicultural team environment
