J2EE Developer for Multinational Institution in the Hague/Netherlands

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A J2EE DEVELOPER TO WORK AT OUR MULTINATIONAL CLIENT IN THE HAGUE/NETHERLANDS.

TASKS:

- Creating work package specifications for scanning and indexing of patents
- Translation quality evaluation and comparison using machine translation services provided via API
- Developing JEE prototypes by adapting external services using web-services (HTTP(S), REST).
- Quality control of text data and XML-structure
- Searching for patent documents using existing databases
- Document and database administration is part of the tasks.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Experiences in evaluation of translation quality provided by machine translation providers
- J2EE, JDK 5+, SLES-10, bash-script,
- SVN, Eclipse
- API-RESTful
- XML Schema, XSLT, Format converting

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Work in a multicultural environment
- Willing to work most time on data administration and tasks management
- Fluent in English, skills in Dutch or Italian are an advantage
