Iwocs Engineer

I have been tasked with recruiting an IWOCS engineer for one of our key clients. This company has gone global and employs over 18000 individuals. With great career progression options this is a job opportunity not to be missed. Below are some of the details of the responsibilities you will incur for this role:

* Assist with the preparation of quotations
* Review customer specifications, documents and drawings
* Ensure all necessary preliminary system analyses are performed for the technical proposal
* Respond to any technical clarifications and attend clarification meetings where necessary
* Technical review and selection of vendors, and liaising with vendors to ensure they are aware of any technical changes
* Write and interpret functional design specs, hydro/electric control system designs ensuring compliance by carrying out appropriate calculations
* Plan, organise, control and implement projects, to produce results within time, cost and quality.
* Act as technical lead if necessary
* Liaise with vendors to ensure the supply of equipment, and act as technical focal point with vendors
* Support the Project Manager during execution phase, including assisting with and generating progress reports
* Continually monitor the project plan, identify critical items and activities impacting on the project schedule
* Provide technical support to the Field Service group during the onshore integration and the offshore installation and commissioning processes.
* Modify existing control systems and associated documents to meet changing requirements as necessary
* Interface management both internal and external

* Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematic interpretation
* Ability to write testing procedures for hydro-electric control systems
* Ability to clearly explain, present and reason technical solutions and offerings
* Ability to attend design reviews and act as lead engineer
* Ability to provide technical and commercial support to bids and quotations.
* Ability to coach, guide, support aspiring junior engineers.

* Design, build, manufacture or operational knowledge of main IWOCS equipment, HPU, Reel, Umbilicals etc.
