ITRS Geneos Subject Matter Expert

Geneos Implementation Specialist with profound Configuration Management knowledge wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector.

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- ITIL foundation certified with good understanding of Production Support Methodologies, ideally with background in the investment banking domain
- Expertise in Geneos architecture with experience in Geneos active console navigation and setup, Geneos Gateway setup editor and configuration, Geneos probes, Managed Entities and Plug-in configuration
- Ability to manage rule setup, threshold definition and alerting, periodical review of alerting and optimisation as well as dashboard creation and setup for business or application support
- Extensive experience in Unix, Shell Scripting, SQL queries and PLSQL coupled with basic knowhow of Perl Scripting, Java and Middleware (Tibco/MQ)
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken

YOUR TASKS:

- Managing Geneos implementation and configuration for the Front Office production support
- Handling daily configuration tasks associated with Geneos and collaborating with the production support lead and managers
- Interacting with Release/Change Management and the Infrastructure/Network team for changes and deployments related to Geneos
- Concentrating on knowledge management, automation and other continuous improvement initiatives
- Prioritising application onboarding to Geneos monitoring and requesting help from Subject Matter experts if necessary
- Collaborating with the gateway hosting team to solve connectivity and stability issues as well as with ITRS for issues reporting and solutions
