IT Tester Consultant

An exciting, long-term opportunity is working with the European Commission's Research and Innovation Directorate General (DG RTD) in Brussels. DG RTD was created to achieve the goals of the Europe 2020 strategy and its key flagship initiative, the Innovation Union.

We are looking for a bilingual IT TESTING CONSULTANT with experience and expertise in application testing, and quality management of web and service based IT systems to join our team providing expert IT Services to DG RTD. As DG RTD's working languages are French and English, the candidate must be professionally fluent in both.

Tasks will include:

- Contribute to the development of the internal test automation strategy, and the testing framework developed in Java
- Supporting the creation and maintenance of test scripts and script repositories
- Contribute to definition of project quality plans
- Help to identify project and product risks
- Support IS Testers in tests case and test scenario execution

We are searching for a candidate with the following profile:

- Minimum 9 years required in testing applications and/or test automation area
- Proven knowledge of testing methodologies and standards
- Experience in development of automation tools using Java and Java EE as programming language and automation of web interfaces build using Rich technologies (Vaadin, JQuery, Angular )
- Great knowledge of web technologies including, HTTP protocol, Xpath and Xpath functions
- Understanding of relational databases (Oracle) and service testing using SOAPUI (WSDL, XSD understanding)
- Fluent in both English and French

The successful candidate should be able to start ASAP. This position is offered as a long term freelance contract.
