IT Task Manager

Project Overview
Our client, a nuclear site, are looking for an IT focused Task Manager to add to their highly skilled team based in Chapel Bank, Workington. This role will require the candidate to operate within an IT environment delivering Tasks across a large organisation for internal customers. The current portfolio of projects contains various projects ranging from IT projects to support business-led initiatives, through to IT-led projects to maintain/improve the service IT provides to the business. Experience of IT project delivery and integration with business project delivery is a desirable. Strong customer focus is essential as each Task/Project will be delivered for internal clients within our business, often in multiple areas. Strong communication skills are therefore vital and experience of operating within a large organisation would also be of benefit.

Objective
The Task Manager will be responsible for successful delivery of IT Tasks and IT Sub-Projects within larger Business projects to time, cost and quality. Management of Third Party suppliers (primarily the incumbent IT provider) to ensure delivery and value for IT and the business.

Key Skills
Project Management experience. IT Experience Essential skills: - IT background/experience (5 years) IT development life cycle, Application Support or Infrastructure and Networks - IT Task/Small Project delivery experience - Strong organisational skills - Customer Focused - Holding individuals to account - Report Writing Skills - MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) - Team working skills - Self Motivated Desirable skills: - Project Management experience - Prince 2, APM or equivalent Project Management qualifications

Pay Rate Details
£25-30 per hour Ltd
