IT Systems Engineer / Project Engineer - Oil and Gas Trading House Salary: Circa 50 - 60k + benefits + bonus Location:Victoria/ SWCLondon A rapidly growing Oil and Gas Trading House is looking to hire an IT systems engineer (3rd line) / project engineer to join its IT operations function that support and coordinate and deliver IT systems for the front, middle and back office. The engineer role will be multi dimensional, with a systems coordination and management (platforms/networks etc), vendor/hardware management, small and large project delivery and technical support capacity (Incident/Problem and Change). The system administrator will work with the highly personable IT operations manager to ensure that incidents and problems are resolved in line with core and developing SLA's, also leveraging resources that handle the 1st and 2nd line support. The engineer will also work closely with the operations manager to identify new opportunities to improve or invest in new systems and processes across the front, middle and back office so there will be a great deal of opportunity to get involved in taking ownership and delivering projects. Ideal Experience: * Support/Systems experience in an enterprise/energy/O&G environment. (Windows focused) * Service Delivery, strong Incident, Problem and Change management * Delivering Projects, including upgrades and new system roll outs (eg windows 7). * 3rd Line IT Systems Administration, software, hardware and vendor management * Past experience in Trading floor/commodities IT support is ideal, inc: Market Data * Any second language skills would be an asset, particularly Italian. This is an ideal role for a systems admin/coordinator who wants to work in a multi dimensional capacity within a growing Oil and Gas Trading environment, where there is plenty to get their teeth stuck and the ability to shape the trading houses core infrastructure and associated frameworks long term.
