IT SYSTEMS MANAGER/ADMINISTRATOR - WINDOWS, ACTIVE DIRECTORY, EXCHANGE

Fixed term employment of 12 months

Salary in the region of £26,500 dependent on experience

35 HR. WEEK, FLEXITIME, 25 DAYS HOLIDAY

International charity, the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society (WDCS) is looking to improve our IT infrastructure, and we're seeking a hands-on Systems Manager/Administrator to join our small IT team to see the project through. Over a fixed term of 12 months, you'll plan and implement the replacement of a number of key Servers, while at the same time managing and supporting our existing infrastructure, liaising with staff in our UK and international offices.

This is an opportunity to run your own infrastructure project, with your own budget, from start to finish.

You'll already have gained solid experience designing, installing and managing a Windows Server 2008 environment running Active Directory, Exchange 2010 and Hyper-V. You'll be familiar with networking (including Firewalls and VPNs), backup and recovery, anti-malware and patch management. Linux and some Mac experience would be desirable too.

The role is based at our UK headquarters in Chippenham, Wiltshire. WDCS offers a flexible 35 hour working week, a 25 day holiday package, and we participate in the Childcare Vouchers scheme. The office is a 5 minute walk from Chippenham station and within easy access from the M4 with on-site parking.
