IT Systems Engineer

Our direct Fortune 500 client in the North West DC area is looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer for a 3 month contract.

Responsibilities include:
- Planning, designing, and implementing infrastructure projects in support of claims systems
- Coordinating amongst various departments for specific infrastructure or production support tasks.
- Driving the resolution for application issues as well as have experience troubleshooting and triaging Windows and Linux application issues.
- This position includes after hours on call support when needed and on a rotational basis.

Required:

- 5+ years experience in IT, specializing in infrastructure, hardware, or software.
- Experience with Windows/Linux infrastructure
- Understanding of Java/J2EE/.NET platform in relation to infrastructure.
- BS in Computer Science, IT, or related field is preferred
- Programming or Scripting experience in at least one programming language is preferred.
