UNIFACE IT SYSTEM ENGINEER
Experis IT Switzerland is on the search for an experienced IT System Engineer to join an existing team at one of the best employers in Switzerland. This is an exciting contracting opportunity is only open to candidates with relevant experience, who are available in a short notice. PROJECT DETAILS:
You'll be working in the Operational Accounting team in Zurich. You will join a small IT team responsible for developing and maintaining front to back infrastructure for Banknotes and Precious Metals. The system is mainly developed in Uniface with some 3GL interfaces. The role covers the complete development life cycle from analysis, design, implementation, testing and 3rd level support as well as support for the underlying infrastructure of linux, web and database Servers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing and maintaining front to back infrastructure for Banknotes and Precious Metals
- Support and maintain UNIFACE environment
- Support web infrastructure for our Web-Application
- Analyze complexity and feasibility of new or changed environment and business requirements
- Support release changes, installation and migration of infrastructure components
- Participate in IT projects
- Support test team by maintaining automation test framework
YOUR PROFILE:
- Education in Computer Science and excellent Software Design skills
- Minimum 3 years experience in a development & analytical role
- Experience with UNIFACE Development & Architecture (Client Server, N-Tier, Web Deployment)
- Good understanding of Relational Databases and design models. Sybase and or Oracle skills are desirable
- Strong SQL (Performance/Tuning skills and or Database Design skills desirable)
- Good skills in Unix (RedHat)
- Knowledge of subversion control systems (GIT Hub)
- Logistics IT background a great plus
- Knowledge about web infrastructure desirable (Apache & Tomcat)
- Perl skills would be desirable
- Fluent English speaker

DURATION: 6 months with a possibility of further extension
