IT System Engineer - Middleware (5649)

For a project at our client's site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an:

IT SYSTEM ENGINEER - MIDDLEWARE (5649)

In this exciting role as an all-rounder with a good basic understanding of operating systems, Middleware and software, you will be part of a circle of experts that takes care of infrastructure, deployment, operation and monitoring of web and core applications.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

- EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF MIDDLEWARE (JAVA, TOMCAT) AND KNOWLEDGE OF INTERNET, NETWORK AND SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES REQUIRED
- PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN MESSAGING (MQ, ETC.)
- Broad understanding of payment traffic and reporting knowhow (formats, standards)
- Experience in Linux & Windows Server
- Oracle and Connectivity know how (EBICS, SWIFT, H2H) would be desirable but not mandatory
- High sense of quality and responsibility and independent working method
- FLUENT IN ENGLISH, GERMAN SKILLS ARE BENEFICIAL

YOUR TASKS:

- Installation, operation and monitoring of applications and the associated infrastructure
- Planning, design, further development and operation of the monitoring infrastructure
- Continuously improve existing automation for installation, deployment and monitoring
- Deployment, operation and monitoring of core and support applications on IBM MQ, Tomcat, etc.
- Creation and maintenance of operating manuals, checklists and documentation
- Representation in support and operation of our file-based data exchange platforms
