IT System Engineer Linux

For one of our clients in the banking industry, based in Zürich, we are looking for a Linux System Engineer who is able to take the lead in improving the Linux IT infrastructure operations.

Tasks and responsibilities:
- automate the server administration and compliance/security tasks in a large and complex server environment
- guarantee a secure infrastructure environment as well as production stability and performance
- collaborate with various cross-functional teams to support them for their daily IT operation tasks and regular compliance duties
- provide technical documentation (in English)

Experience and skills
- deep knowledge of Linux operating system and Linux administration
- previous experience working in complex infrastructure projects/environments
- solid experience with Scripting in Perl
- aware of security-related risk and operational stability questions in large infrastructure environments
- SQL knowledge and German language skills are beneficial

You'll be working in a small and diverse team in Zürich with the responsibility to provide and operate various central security and IT compliance services for the distributed UNIX environment in Switzerland and Midrange environment (AIX and AS400) globally.
