Summary:
Our client is a premier provider of global institutional investment research, consulting, and investment advisory services, located in Venice, Florida, seeks an IT Infrastructure & Help Desk Support Manager. The ideal candidate is someone who is extremely strong with Linux administration, and has the ability to roll up their sleeves and be a hands-on manager. The key role of this position is to provide hands-on support and management of the IT Infrastructure & Help Desk Support team, which is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of all IT infrastructure for the Venice home office and multiple global Sales office locations. This is very much a hands-on role where you will manage a team of 3 people, and the IT department includes Servers, data storage, networking equipment, telephony, email, printers, and desktop support. This team also provides help desk support for thousands of clients. Our client offers a year-round casual dress policy that is well-suited to the more relaxed living experience on the Gulf Coast of Florida (flip-flops and shorts are okay). NO STATE INCOME TAX IN FLORIDA!

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Expert level Linux knowledge required - at least 5 years of Red Hat/CentOS Linux administration is a MUST!
- 5 years of Windows 7, Windows Server 2003/2008, and MS Exchange 2007/2010 administration
- 2 years of Active Directory and group policy administration
- 2 years of VMWare vSphere 4+ administration and support
- 2 years of SAN administration - EMC
- 3 years of Cisco Router, switch, Firewall and WiFi administration
- 2 years of Data Center architecture experience across multiple environments - including Development, QA, Production, and Disaster Recovery
- 2 years of Symantec NetBackup Enterprise Edition administration
- 2 years of BASH/Perl Scripting experience
- 2 years of experience managing and mentoring junior technical resources and leading technical initiatives
- Strong self-sufficiency, initiative, problem solving skills, and dedicated work ethic a must, with a desire to succeed in a challenging environment that requires multitasking and planning, organizing and changing priorities
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills and customer service experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field
- Certifications - RHCE, MCSA, VCP, CCNA, ITIL, etc. a plus
