On behalf of our client, a globally operating business with its HQ in Horgen, we are looking for an IT Support Specialist for a 3-4 month contracting opportunity.

This is a contracting position starting IN JANUARY 2018 UNTIL THE END OF MARCH/APRIL 2018.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The IT Operations and Support specialist plays a crucial, hands on role in providing technical support to the company's users. This role is responsible for providing day to day support of IT devices (PCs, Macs, mobile devices), infrastructure, and applications (eg, both off the shelf and internally developed). In addition to providing local, hands on technical support to personnel within their area, the Technician must build and maintain strong working relationships with users and other support personnel.

IN ADDITION, YOU WILL BE TASKED WITH SUPPORTING THE FOLLOWING:

- Monitor ServiceDesk and reports, taking preventative action to ensure Service Levels are met across the IT and business services.
- Improve user references by writing and maintaining documentation and user manuals.
- Record, track, and document the ServiceDesk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to the final resolution.
- Test resolutions to ensure incident has been adequately resolved.
- Install required software, and hardware
- Support all physical and virtual environments
- Execute and check all operational system maintenance
- Ensure data security, compliance to company policies, and archiving/backups integrity.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Creative thinking and problem solving
- Capable of working well under pressure
- Highly self motivated and directed.
- Exceptional customer service orientation.
- Enthusiasm to be continually learning
- Able to work with a variety of IT systems with certifications (MS Environment, ESX, VM, production machines, etc)

LOCATION: Horgen

START DATE: 03.01.2018, initial 3-4 month contract
