IT Supporter

On behalf of our client in the Life Science industry, Harvey Nash is looking for an IT Supporter for an ongoing temporary position in Switzerland.

The role is about installing, supervising and maintaining workspace, server and LAN systems, troubleshooting, advising, instructing and supporting users in the event of problems.
- You are responsible for
- Implementation and co-ordination of hardware, software and network components and communications installations.
- Coordinating the activities of suppliers, consultants and support staff
- Installation and maintenance of PCs, peripherals, Servers, networks and communication installations
- Following-up on hardware, software, network and communications problems and invocation of the corrective actions and escalation procedures.
- Testing and implementation of new software products and releases.
- Monitoring the availability of hardware, software and networks; maintaining an inventory of hardware, software and networks.
- Creation of standardized installation and configuration structures (directory structures, menu systems, user interfaces, backup and recovery procedures)
- Advising the users on workplace ergonomics and procurement
- Creation and maintenance of operating manuals, user guides and check lists.

Requirements

- Experience in Informatics Service Support and Service Delivery
- Worked in a regulated environment with Computer System Validation and in a project environment
- Worked in in a project environment, ideally in a pharmaceutical industry
- Fluent in English and German
