Summary:
With minimal supervision provide technical support to all employees for assistance with computer related issues. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following.

- Other duties may be assigned.
- Resolve issues related to PC's and Printer equipment.
- Receive and log incoming calls for users.
- Perform second level problem analysis to identify computer related issue and resolve issue.
- Follow up with users to ensure customer satisfaction
- Develop, define and track metrics to measure performance.
- Provide user support and resolve all problems related to the desktop and all related software running on the desktop.
- Troubleshoot Desktop hardware, operating system and software application problems.
- Research desktop related issues via WEB, product manuals and other methods.
- Install fixes on computers as needed.
- Maintain inventory of all desktops and all software running on the desktops.
- Document and track location, users, software and hardware.
- Update inventory documentation as needed due to employee and equipment changes.
- Receive and log new computers and install any software required for operation.
- Maintain compliance with desktop software licenses.
- Ensure all software is appropriately licensed prior to installation.
- Notify Technical Supervisor and remove any user installed software that has not been purchased by the Company or that is not free of charge.
- Requisition desktops for all Sites and Corporate.
- Coordinate requirements for desktops and printers
- Research and analyze options to help determine best solution.
- Coordinate with Network Administrator and the AS400 Administrator to ensure integration with Servers and midrange computers.
- Provide recommendations to management on best alternative for users and the Company.
- Complete Capital Expense Request (CER) or Requisition Form as required and submit to
- Technical Support Supervisor.
- Receive and install desktops and printer equipment for all Sites and Corporate.
- Load required software onto computer.
- Assign name and inventory the computer.
- Install computer in user's work space.
- Assist IT personnel with computer installations.
- Provide user support and informal training on desktop software.
- Assist users with basic software features.
- Assist with other IT related issues as required.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

- Technical degree or certification preferred and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Minimum 1 year experience in computer related field required.
- Proficient in Windows 2000, Windows XP, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook. Expert knowledge of Desktop Hardware. Ability to learn Linux, AS400 and Veritas.
- Superior organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrate attention to detail with excellent follow through/follow up skills.
- Superior written and oral communication skills. Ability to successfully interface with all levels of employees and management, both internally and externally.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and proven ability to apply creative and innovative solutions to on-going problems.
- Ability to work independently efficiently and effectively, with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities that frequently change.
- Must be able to work with customers, suppliers, and employees effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proactively communicate with co-workers, management, and all others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Physical Demands:
In the office environment, the employee must be able to sit for extended period of time, up to 8 hours with periodic breaks. Employee may occasionally stand and/or walk and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Must be able to move throughout the office and manufacturing area and talk/hear or otherwise communicate with employees, management, customers, vendors, and others.

Special Requirements:
Must be able to work extended hours when work load requires, including some evenings and weekends. Maybe asked to travel to other locations for special assignments or to attend special training programs. Travel up to 10% both internationally and nationally.

Work Environment:
The employee will normally work in an office and shop environment. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quite to moderate. Employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment when working on the shop floor.
